Rollout Rolls out the selected template |
To add a new rollout template, select "Add rollout template" from the menu and assign it a name and optionally a description on the first page of the wizard. You can specify whether the rollout template can be selected on the client, which will then result in an interactive rollout template being created. In the following step, the rollout template is configured. To do this, select an operating system,a response file, the version, the boot image, and the product key.
Configure rollout template
In the following steps, you can first specify job collections to be integrated into the rollout template and then select the driver packages to be installed. The selected driver packages are not integrated into the Install.wim of the operating system, but are instead only integrated when Windows Update installs them into the operating system already copied onto the hard drive. This integration takes place before booting the system for the first time.
Warning: |
Windows Setup will try to integrate all of the drivers assigned to the rollout template into the operating system. Here, the drivers are also loaded from available file repositories, which generate more network traffic as the number of drivers increases, making the installation last longer.
Make sure that the drivers are fully synchronized to the file repository being used. |
Integrate job collection |
Install drivers |
After the rollout template is stored, you can do the rollouts.
Note: |
When distributing an operating system image to a VMware workstation, make sure to select thick partitioning. |
