To edit existing locations you have to navigate to Asset Management -> Hardware Assets and select Locations in the ribbonbar. The ribbonbar shows all available commands for locations. In the left area you will see all existing locations, buildings and rooms.

You can create a multi-level hierarchy. Only when you create a building there is the possibility to enter an address. |

Add Location You can create a new location. |

Edit Location You can edit an existing location. |

Delete Location You can dlete the selected location(s). |

Import Select a CSV-file to import new locations. |
At first you have to decide on which hierarchy level you want to create the new location. If the new location should be on the root level you may click on an empty place under the multi-level hierarchy. Otherwise select the higher level.
Enter the name for the location and define the type. The following types are possible:
• | Location |
• | Building |
• | Room |
Additionally you can enter an optional description.
Add location
On the second page you are able to assign members and contact persons. When you want to delete an assigned member or contact person click on the corresponding item.

When the location type is Building you can set up the address on the second page. |
To import locations you need a CSV-file with all essential informations for the location. Do not forget to insert a column for the location name. This is a mandatory field.
