The products are divided into two sections. All the licensed products that you have already created will be displayed in the left section. The product details of the marked product will be displayed in the right section. They can be adjusted in this view.

In addition, you have access to the overview of the product via the master data.
The requirement to create a product is a recognition pattern. To create a product, mark the desired recognition pattern and select Add Licensed Product in the ribbon bar. A wizard that guides you through the creation process will open.
First choose a target folder. Here, per default the folder Auto generated products will been shown. This folder can be changed via browser.

Make sure that the folder in which you desire the place the product already exists. The creation of a folder is not provided in the wizard. |
The name of the product will be automatically generated (from the name of the recognition pattern and the stated version). You can customize the names individually. On the following page provides details about the metric. You need to opt for the following metric types, before you can make further entries. As an optional entry you can use the entity of the metric description. The entry has no influence on the calculation of used licenses. On the following page specify which source is to be used to measure consumption. If you create a product out of a recognition pattern, the recognition pattern will be entered automatically. In addition, you can add other devices or assets that a license needs, but not be administered in ACMP. This may include devices such as switches; that you have previously created as an asset. After you have confirmed your entries by clicking Next, you may lodge additional product information and whether the creation of a relationship should be prompted from the Software Catalogue or manually overwritten.

If you select the relationship settings to be manually overwritten, future changes to the to the Software Catalogue will not be considered for this product. |
On the following page, first choose a license that you would like to link with the product. Provided that you have created a user defined field for the product, you can assign values to them on the last page of the wizard.
To edit a marked product, select Edit Product in the ribbon bar. All entries made when creating the product can be updated.
Delete Product
To delete a product, mark it and select Delete Product in the ribbon bar. After confirming the inquiry, the product will be deleted out of the database.
Add Folder
A folder serves the purpose of creating clarity and structure of the products. When adding a new folder, first enter a target folder where the new folder should be stored. Your settings can be adjusted via the folder options. Here, enter whether the new folder should be created on the main plane. Click Next to first determine an icon and the security settings for this folder.
Edit Folder
With the help of a wizard you can edit existing folders. In the first wizard, the names of the folders may be adjusted, on the second the icon and the third allows for the adjustment of security settings.

If you wish to adjust the target directory, you can put the desired folder into the new directory per drag and drop. Adjustments are not granted in the wizard. |
Delete Folder
With the help of a wizard you can delete a folder. Please note that all subsidiary folders and licensed products will also be deleted.
