In the general settings for the asset managed you define the shown columns and the ordering in queries.

In the upper areas you are able to specify different assets states. We deliver already the states "In use", "In store", Retired", "Faulty" and "Unknown". You are able to edit or delete every delivered state. By clicking on "Add" you can define a new state.
