The Online Package Manager serves to download packages from the ACMP Package Depot as well as individually packaged Packages of the Aagon Package Factory and is directly integrated into the ACMP Console. You can find the Online Package Manager by clicking the menu item "Create" under "Client Commands" and then click on the item "Online Package Manager" that appears in the menu-ribbon.
Here you can find the Online Package Manager
You can find the settings of the Online Package Manager by clicking the middle button in the upper left program corner. Here you can enter your login data for the ACMP Package Depot. After you have input this data, your user name appears at the bottom left corner of the main window of the OPM.
Note: |
Is you do not have the ACMP Package Depot licensed you are unable to profit from the advantages that the Online Package Manager offers. |
You additionally have the possibility to manually set the download-folder into which the downloaded packages are saved. The standard folder is the directory under
C:\ProgramData\Aagon\ACMP\OnlinePackageManager\. You can also - if necessary - input specific data of a proxy server.
OPM main window
In the upper left program corner you find three buttons, "refresh", "settings" and "help".
The button "refresh" refreshes the view of the OPM and retrieves the package information anew. This way you can check if e.g. a package has been update in the meantime.
The button "settings" opens the OPM settings as previously stated in which you can log in, change the download folder and set a proxy server.
The button "help" opens the online-help for the OPM which you are currently reading.
In the tab "All Packages" you can see an overview of all available packages in alphabetical order with their last update date and version number. You can also search for specific packages with the help of the search field. By pressing the "Download" button, the package is manually downloaded into the download-folder set by you. You can subscribe so particular packages by pressing the corresponding star-shaped button. These packages subsequently appear in the tab "Subscribed". With the underlying button you activate the automatic download of the package. This way a package is always automatically downloaded if a new version is available.
Note: |
If you have subscribed packages, the "Subscribed" tab is automatically opened first on every start of the OPM. |
With a click on the information button next to the update date of a package you can view the details for that specific package.

In this windows you can choose the version of the package which is to be downloaded if more than one version is available. Additionally you can choose if you want to only download the software package, the QA report or both, can view a detailed description, the release date, language and the manufacturer of the package and last but not least you can see a screenshot of the software.
This information is also viewable in short by clicking on the specific package in the main window of the OPM.
In the "Categories" tab you can browse the different package categories. You have the same possibilities here as in the "All Packages" tab.

In the "Recently updated" tab you can see all packages that have recently been released with an updated version. The list of packages is sorted in descending order starting from the newest package up to a maximum of 20 packages.
View of recently updated packages
In the "Subscribed" tab you can see all packages that you have marked as "subscribed" in the overview. The list of packages if sorted so that the packages of which you have not yet downloaded the newest version are listed at the top in descending order according to the update date.

In the "Downloads" tab you can see the packages which you are downloading/have downloaded. These downloads can subsequently be imported directly into ACMP from the OPM with only one click. The progress of active downloads is shown in form of a progress-bar and you have the possibility to pause, resume or completely cancel the download with the help of the three buttons. The list of downloads is sorted descending from the most recently downloaded package.
View of your downloaded packages
Should you have made use of our Package Factory, you can see an overview of the packages in your project in the "(Username) -> Jobs" tab. Due to the versatility of such a project there is less detailed information about each package here. As is usual, you can see a description of the specific package and can choose i.e. if you only want to download the software package, the installation documents, or both.
View of your personal packages
In this "Downloads" tab you can see your downloaded personal packages. Since these are not necessarily ACMP Client Commands, you do not have the possibility to import them into ACMP but can instead open their specific download folder with one click to then subsequently input them into your software distribution solution.
