After installing the ACMP, the network is scanned in adjustable intervals (see Server Settings), in which case all newly detected machines will be added to the network tree. Detected computers which were already present in the network, just get an update of the date attribute in the Last viewed column. Computers which are already in place but were not found during the current scan will still appear. In this way you are able to trigger a new installation on computers which are currently not accessible.
If come computers are removed permanently from the network or made public under a new name, such computers may still remain in the network (possibly under a former name). If you want to update the list of computers, you can delete all computers from the network tree with this function; in this case, all available computers will be added again to the network tree during subsequent network scans.
Alternatively, you can also delete all computers in the network tree, whose data (i.e., date when they were last detected in the network) are older than a defined number of days. In this way you can delete, e.g. the three computers which were decommissioned half a year ago.
